For twenty years, addiction ran my life. There was jail, rehab, broken trust, and more promises to change than I can count. I kept trying to fix myself with willpower. It never held.
Surrendering to Jesus did not make every consequence disappear. It gave me the only foundation strong enough to rebuild on—and the courage to keep taking the next right step.
Real Life IT is the honest, practical framework I wish I had when I was learning how to live again.
My story is one of struggle, redemption, and the incredible grace of God.
For twenty years, I battled addiction, anxiety, depression, and hopelessness while trying to hold my life together on the outside. Heroin and crack cocaine affected every part of my life—my mind, health, relationships, finances, and sense of purpose.
Everything began to change when I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ. I learned that true healing does not come through willpower alone. Lasting change begins when we make Jesus the center of our lives and allow Him to reinvent us from the inside out.
Through faith, healing, structure, community, and daily surrender, God began rebuilding every area of my life.
Today, I am a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) and an AACC Mental Health First Responder specializing in addiction recovery and trauma care. I have also completed training in Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) I and II, Motivational Interviewing, professional ethics, and trauma-informed recovery support. I am a certified financial coach, entrepreneur, speaker, and the author of Reinvented: My Journey of Addiction and Redemption.
Real Life IT was born from this journey. Its purpose is to help people honestly assess where they are spiritually, emotionally, physically, and financially—and then begin rebuilding their lives with clarity, hope, practical direction, and purpose.
